We have large (12 X 24), spacious, heated foaling stalls. Each stall is equipped with a closed-circuit camera that is connected to several monitors within the facility, our home and the attendant's apartment. During foaling season, we have qualified attendant(s) 24 hours per day to watch and assist your mare to ensure the safest foaling possible.
We keep a large quantity of colostrum on hand at all times. Our colostrum bank is continually renewed so that it is fresh each year. Many times we will feed new-born foals colostrum if the mare's milk tests low, or, if the foal is large and weak at birth.
Your foal will be imprinted at birth. They all are haltered the first day and lead every where they go on the farm. In our opinion, two handlers for a mare and foal helps us train the foal to be handled and keeps him safe day to day. A goal is to have every foal that goes home, well halter broke, able to pick up their feet and allow themselves to be brushed quietly.
